Amy Garrigan and I took Cambry to Jasmine Hill gardens Saturday to take his 9 week old pictures and we couldn't have asked for better weather!! Cambry was in a great mood(thanks to the new cereal added to his formula)and even smiled for a few of the pics until my camera battery died!! IMAGINE THAT!! Oh well...at least we were able to get a few really great ones!:)
Cambry was admitted in the hospital Friday night with RSV and pneumonia:( It was the scariest night of our lives so far. We took him to the E.R. at 10:30 pm Friday night and did not get to our room until 4:30a.m. Saturday morning. By the time we got to our room, little Cambry had aspirated on mucus, turned blue and went completely limp. The nurses had to use suction and give him o2 and breathing treatments while under an oxygen tent. We stayed at the hospital for 6 days and finally got to come home today with our own nebulizer to administer breathing treatments to him ourselves every 4 hrs.He is feeling much better now, thanks to all of the wonderful nurses and doctors at Baptist east and all of our wonderful family and friends who kept Cambry in their prayers.
Cambry Lane Patterson arrived January 7th 2011 at 11.58a.m., weighing 6lbs. 10ox. and 20 inches long. He is completely perfect!!! No words can describe the feeling that you get when your son is placed into your arms for the very first time. The whole labor process went by so quickly for me. I was induced at 6:30am, my water broken at 8:00a.m.,pushed for 25-30 Min's. and had him by 11:58a.m.! Chase and I both cried so hard when they placed Cambry on my chest. They whisked him away to weigh him and clean him up, all the while he was screaming. As soon as they placed him in my arms, all his tears dried up and he was calm again. Love at first site is real after all:)
